Mailbox Rental FAQs

How do I set up a private mailbox?

To setup your private mailbox rental for business or individual use, you can either call in or stop by to work with a qualified staff member. However, if you call in, you will need to get the mailbox rental agreement notarized. View our location details, or contact us directly during business hours at (858) 350-1275.

Is a security deposit required to setup a private mailbox?

No, we do not require a security deposit. However, we do change a one-time setup fee of $20.

What does my mailing address look like?

Our private mailboxes give you a real physical street address rather than a PO box number. Having a physical street address with no corresponding PO box number looks more professional for businesses while eliminating the exposure of your personal home address. For example, your address would be listed as:
Business or Individuals Name
123 Main Street #4567
City, State, Postal/Zip

Will I be notified when I receive mail or packages?

You will be notified by both text and email when packages are received. For general mail, you can call in to check what has been received anytime during business operating hours.

Can I forward mail from my private mailbox?

Absolutely, you will only be required to pay for the cost to mail those items. Visiting the location to set this up is optional, as it can be implemented over the phone.

If I forward mail, can you consolidate mail to save money?

Of course.

How many names can I have on my mailbox?

There is no limit to how many business names, aliases or names including people that are not directly related to the mailbox. However, a USPS Form 1583 will need to be filled out and submitted for each individual if they want their name on the mail. However, just to pick up mail, that is not required.

Can I trust Postal Annex with my mail?

Absolutely, we are trusted by the community and our location has been in business for over 20 years.

If I rent a small mailbox, can I receive large packages?

Yes, no matter what size mailbox you rent, package receiving is included without additional fees. Use UPS DHL FedEx and USPS

What carriers do you work with?

UPS, DHL, FedEx and USPS.
